Our Last Day on Chestnut Street

Yesterday was a whirl wind of loading the truck and cleaning. We had several friends help out, which was a HUGE blessing. People came in shifts, so there were fresh muscles and energy for moving. Last night we slept on a queen size air mattress. This morning we woke up with sore, stiff bodies, but much optimism. Last minute packing of our suit cases and miscellaneous items that seemed to allude the boxes they were suppose to go in. I was going to fry the last two eggs this morning for breakfast, then realized I had no skillet... no microwave to prepare any food, which may seem inconvenient, but is an inconvenience I am willing to deal with!!

We found out last week that the building that we live in is probably going to be sold. The owners will most likely renovate. This building is over 100 years old, has very drafts windows, is not wired for modern electricity use, and is overall crumbling. We like this place, and have enjoyed our 5 years here, but we are happy to move on to our new season of life. And, it would be nice to see this building restored!

Ok, well... this is it! Our last day... Whoo Hooo!!

See you on the other side!
