A couple of weeks ago, I scheduled a Uhaul truck for our move. We were planning to pack it on Friday, drive down to Kentucky, then take the truck back on Sunday. After all, we are paying for 3 days. However, since my amazing hubby announced at the beginning to this week that he is taking next week off to help pack, load and clean, we decided that we want to have the truck available to us for 2 days to pack and only one day for the drive and move. I called the Uhaul place today. He confirmed my reservation by saying, "One way to Kentucky, right?" I answered with a hearty, "Yes!"
Then it hit me.
Wow. We really are moving. One way to Kentucky. We are closer to my family, closer to our mission that God has given us, closer to getting a Whippet puppy, closer to having babies! Closer.
This year -- we begin our year on June 9th, our anniversary. The Wilhite calendar year goes from June 9 of one year to June 8 of the next. Like so: June 9, 2006 to June 8, 2007 has been year 6; we celebrate 6 years this June 9th, and will begin year 7. (It makes sense to us!) This year (beginning last June) has been a rough year. Several different times we thougtht we were going to move, had jobs, housing lined up... or we were interviewing or job searching, changing jobs, etc.
We are very ready to settle in to the quiet life...
