It's official!!

On Monday I found a place for us to live!! It is definite. We plan to move to Williamsburg, KY on May 12th and live with my folks for 3 weeks or less, then we will move into a 3 bedroom house. We are almost gitty. I'll be gitty when the moving truck is full and pulling out to begin the route South!! We will live one mile from where I will be working, and about 7 miles or so from my mom and dad, who will be across town. Also, get this, we will share a back yard with my best friend from high school, Karen and her hubby and son! (We'll be renting from my high school chemistry teacher!!!) God has really blessed us. We are excited!!

And yet again...

The house we were planning to move into will not be ready for us. The owner/full time contractor will not have the repairs done in 3 weeks. So, now we have no place to move into. We were both really really upset last night when we got the news. It just feels like very effort to move is thwarted. Yet, living here is some weird cosmic limbo where we no longer feel like we are attached.
I feel like a rug that has been taken out and repeatedly beaten.

I just want to move.

My mother is going to be looking for housing for us. Brandon and I plan to move on May 12th no matter what. We are both very stubborn, and this last road-block/speed bump has made us even more determined to move on May 12th.

I told him last night that at least we do not have boils on our skin... we don't have to sleep in a bathroom... (Watch The Pursuit of Happyness, with Will Smith. Inspirational.) We are healthy, we are a team, united in our cause.... We have people in our life that love us and care about us... and are praying for us...

Pray that we find housing in the next three weeks!

Change of Venue!!!

This will be short. I've got to pack!!!

Brandon and I are FINALLY moving! Praise God! ... Ok, so part of me won't get too excited until the door closes on the moving truck and we are on the road, headed to our new place; THEN I'll get excited...

I'll be working for a lawyer, BossMan. BossMan and I went to high school together, graduated the same year. His brother and my brother are the same age and graduated at the same time. The four of us have literally grown up together since kindergarten. They are like first cousins. I look forward to getting to know him better, and helping him to grow his business.

Today I am working on the logistics of moving, packing some, etc. Whooo Hooo! (Ok, so I did get excited for just a second!)

Have I mentioned that I am really looking forward to a change of venue? Different people. Different surroundings! Reconnecting with friends down there; making new friends... Good times.
